About me…
Being a child of the 70’s, I grew up in a family where making your own clothes was simply a part of everyday life. Looking back, it feels almost inevitable that I went on to study Fashion Design & Pattern Cutting at the London College of Fashion after leaving school.
Since graduating, I spent many years working in the fashion industry, building a career that eventually led me to running my own business.
Then Covid hit and with the fashion industry at a standstill, my working life suddenly changed. It was during this time my gorgeous Cockerpoo, Scruffy, became part of the family. As any dog owner knows, the battle of keeping your dog clean and dry in awful weather is a challenge.
Finding myself with more free time, I used my experience to make Scruffy her first fleece onesie. It took me quite by surprise the attention she got. Turns out, Scruffy was a great model, people would stop us in the street or park, asking about the coat and where it was from, and so Not So Scruffy was born. Through word of mouth and lots of wonderful recommendations alone, Not So Scruffy has gone from strength to strength, reaching all corners of the UK and I absolutely love it.
